Palm Sunday and Holy Week 2020
Preparing our heart for Palm Sunday & Holy Week 2020
A reflection by Fr. Paul Yi
With Holy Week beginning this Sunday, I want to share with you a reflection to help all of us enter into this most Holy Week.
I’m sure all of you will agree that this has been a very unique Lent. With the fear of spreading COVID19, the entire world and its activities are at a standstill--businesses, sports, entertainment, vacations, and most sacred to us, religious services. While we are anxiously waiting for the time when we can resume our "normal" life, we watch on the news how many are suffering from the consequences of the virus: many have lost their lives and families grieve; jobs vanished and families feel insecure; and many around the world are going hungry. We lift all the families in our prayers and remember all the suffering.
